Art Gallery of Greater Victoria - Children's Art Studio
We are pleased to be the presenting sponsor of the Children's Art Studio at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria. Their mandate is " Our dedicated teachers introduce new techniques, build confidence and encourage the creative process. Students will experience a full 'art immersion', visiting current gallery exhibitions to inspire their creation in the studio. The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is the ideal place for children to explore visual culture and express their own creative vision!"

Sidney Fine Art Show
We have been a proud sponsor of the Sidney Fine Art Show for the past four years. This is a world-class juried art show featuring work by artists primarily from around B.C.
Presented by the Community Arts Council of the Saanich Peninsula, this Show is for serious artists and patrons of the arts. The first Show in 2003 was an outstanding success and each year the Show has attracted thousands of visitors to the town of Sidney.
Sooke Fine Arts Show
The Sooke Fine Arts Show provides the opportunity for both well-known and emerging artists from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands to showcase their work. Along with the 7,500 annual visitors who attend the art show, the show draws hundreds of art patrons from British Columbia, and throughout western Canada and the United States.
This will be our 15th year as an award sponsor.
Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria Look Show 2011
It has been our privilege every year to sponsor one of the awards presented to the artists. This is a great show that features artists from our region and every year the quality and diversity of artwork is truly astounding.
Victoria Emerging Art Awards
Island Blue is please to once again sponsor the third place winner of the Victoria Emerging Artist Awards.
The VEAA will feature 10 up and coming artists between the ages of 19-35, living on Vancouver Island who have been vetted by a well-rounded jury sourced from the Victoria art community. In order to qualify, the artists cannot have gallery representation or extensive exhibition history. It is up to the public to vote on the top three winners.
Competitive cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st and 2nd place winners, a $500 gift certificate to art supplies for the third place winner and all 10 showcasing artists, aka the “VEAA Collective”, will have earned 2 years of representation by Victoria Emerging Art Gallery. While contracted with VEAG, the collective will also receive exciting solo and group exhibition opportunities in the Victoria art community, mentorship and assistance in increasing the value of their work over time.
This year's show will be held April 21st, 2011 - 6pm - 8pm at The Sculpture Studio
at 211 Harbour Street.
