Dixie MacUisdin

Dixie’s love of painting began in high school inspired by the landscape of the Ottawa Valley. On the advice of her art teacher she studied at Mount Allison University NB, and earned a BFA specializing in painting and photography. She has employed her artist abilities in many diverse employments including scenic art and commercial embroidery. In 2007 Dixie decided to re-devote herself to painting and now works primarily in acrylic. She is inspired by the versatility of this medium and continues to experiment with new techniques. Recent explorations include mixed media and abstraction. Dixie primarily shows her work through the Coast Collective Art Centre of which she is an Associate Member.
