Natalie Shumka

Natalie Shumka has participated in exhibitions throughout Canada; her oil paintings are part of collections in Canada and the United States. Natalie's inspiration is found in objects around her home and garden, her hands are almost always stained with oil paint or garden soil, although pastel and charcoal may also be included in her choice of media. Glass vases, papery poppy petals, and iridescent onion skin hold Natalie's interest, and often act as subject matter. Natalie enjoys teaching others how to examine and recreate the world around, be it a very little, or a wide open world.
